Question
My male betta started swimming on his side 4 days ago.  I thought swimbladder issue due to constipation.  He has what looks like bruising on one side, by fin.  I tried to feed a pea after fasting for 2 1/2 days.  He will not eat it.  I have given him two epsom baths,20 minutes each, 1 tbsp. per gallon h2o, no poop.  He seems worse today, agitated, head hanging down, less color.  I do not know what else to do.  I also have betta revive.  Please help.

Answer
Hello.
The only thing you can do now is to try "Kanamycin" which is very good for Swim Bladder Disease, but it is sometimes hard to find.  If you cannot find this medication, buy "Tetracycline" or "Furan-2"  Follow the directions on the package, be careful not to overdose.  Do not wait, as this disease will eventually turn into dropsy, and dropsy is very difficult, if not impossible to cure.
I hope this will help, and that you betta will feel better soon.
