Convicts not growing?

I have 2 baby convicts in a 29 gallon tank.  I've had them almost six months and they are still around an inch long (they were about the same size when I got them).  The water is 76 degrees, pH is 7, and I feed them cichlid flakes.  Any idea as to why they aren't growing?

Hi Leah,
 How often are you doing water changes?   You need to be changing 25% of the water once a week, every week, to keep the fish happy and healthy (and growing!)
