poorly oscar!!

Hi i really hope you can help me!! I was 'donated' what i've been informed is a bronzed oscar by my local fish store, though they didn't offer any advice on how to look after him. I have now transferred him from a coldwater tank with 4 goldfish to his own heated 2ft aquarium, however i'm not entirely sure this is going to be big enough. Also, he has developed what i believe to be white spot, so i set up a quarantine tank and treated him and the large tank accordingly. Is there anything i can do for my little Fester? I really don't want to lose him!!

Hi Dawn,
  If he has ick (white spot), the key is to treat him with one of the medications and hope for the best.  Keep on treating for a week.
