Platy Behaviour

Question
Hi there!
I'm currently maintaining a 10 gallon community tank. I have 2 Sunburst Platy, 1 African Dwarf Frog, 1 Female Betta, and 2 Fruit Loop Tetras.
My question revolves around these crazy critters recent behaviour! The Betta seems to think she's one of the platys...she follows them around the tank (never nipping!) and copies their every move. Lately both of the platys have started racing from the bottom of the tank to the top and back again multiple times. I've never seen them do this before, does it mean something in particular? The Betta follows them (although is much slower at it).

I have been witnessing similar behaviour from my African Dwarf Frog, except he goes from left to right in the tank. Normally he would just chill out on one of the plants or the gravel bottom, but he's been super active lately! I'm not sure if they have seen NASCAR on my television screen or what seems to be up with them - it's just odd seeing them all act like that!
Any ideas? I'm not too worried, more curious than anything.
Thanks so much!

Answer
Rachel,

How is your water readings? The only thing that comes to mind is a water quality issue. I would test the water and if all is ok then I wouldn't worry about it. Are the Platties male and female? If so they might be trying to breed and the Betta is just being nosy. I would just keep an eye on everyone to make sure all is fine.
