Question
Hi I have a dalmation mollie who has 8 babies. When is a good it a idea to release the babies with there mom?

Answer
Hi Dawna

I would say after a couple of weeks should be safe. However, I don't keep Dalmatian Mollies, Balloon Mollies etc. I keep Black Mollies, and due to their water requirements, I have a tank specifically for them with no other types of fish. I don't separate the babies. My Mollies are having babies all the time, so I keep bushy plants and caves on the bottom of the tank for them to hide. I never have any come up missing. Make sure you put a foam filter pad over the intake of your filter to keep them from being sucked into the filter.

Hope this helps, good luck!
