archangel pigeon

3 pigeons came to our home about 3 weeks ago looked on internet and found to be archangels wondering how long they might stay or if they are migratig they are new to this area beautiful what do they nest in? we live in east tn in greene county

Hi Carla,

I don't know much about archangels but they are mainly a domesticated show bird and probably do not have a good homing ability. They most likely got away from someone. Can you see any bands on their legs? They also don't migrate so they will probably be sticking around. Have you given them any food? Pigeons usually nest in places that provide good protection, but if these guys got away from someone, I am not sure if they will be able to live on their own (effectively) in the wild. Can you approach them close enough to take a picture and send me one? I would love to see them!
