Question
My female Pigeon fell off the the shelf we have her and the males cage on while trying to birth an egg. She had her wings trimed before we got her and her wings did not grow all the way back in, she can hoover a little but can not take full flight. I and my wife left for about 15 mins. and came back and found her laying on the floor which is about 4-5 feet off shelf. I picked her up and she looked like she was dialated so we put her back in her coop. After about 10 minutes I went douwn and picked her up and a white milky substance came out. I'm wondering if the egg is broke inside her and if I need to do something. I don't know if its an egg or if she is ill? My male we have had for over a year and have never had any issues. Can you help or give us some suggestions???

Answer
Hi Curtis,

The egg could be broken inside. If that is the case it will need to be flush out before it starts an infection. I would recommend you take her to a veterinarian with avian experience to see what they can do for you and her. Did she actually lay any eggs?

Thanks,
Stacie
