over feeding finch/mannikin

Im just wondering if it is possible for babies to recover from being over fed on occasion, i am rearing 2 baby nutmeg mannikins at the moment and the youngest this morning does not seem as well as she has been over the last week, also one side of her crop has not inflated today as it usually does, Is there anything I can do to help her?

It could be an infection. I suggest taking one of the parents to the vet and trying to get a medication called Nystatin. Give this to the babies twice a day. Just a drop! This should clear the infection. That is the problem with hand rearing is that the chance of a crop infection is a lot higher than if the parents fed them.
