Mustache Parakeet Information

Hi Maggie,

1st of all let me appriciate u for the help u providin people by answering to their questions. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK OF HELPING OTHERS...

I am from India and this is my 1st post on this site. My question is abt Mustache Parakeet. Recently i have bought a pair of This Parrots i donno if they r male or female as they r babies. The can have the food on their own but lookin at their behaviou and size of the tail me guessing it. Here in india we dont have PET STORES who gives the complete information abt the age,sex and Behaviour of the bird tat we buy. soo me really curious to know that how can i tell if my birds are MALE or FEMALE. Nd they r afraid of me but i have read many of ur post and i think ill try the tricks tat u have said in ur posts abt tammin them and gainin their trust. One important thing i want u to ask is how can i force my bird to try new VEGITABEL and FRUITS. My birds juss think wat ever is green in colour is food i guess they never try new stuff. Do u have ny trick or idea in ur mind tat can help me in this ? and ill be askin u question as and when they come in my mind ..... :)

Hi,

With Mustache Parakeets the males will have an orange or red colored beak, and the females will have a black beak.
