Lovebird ...Death of a Mate

hi! One of my two lovebirds has died....they've been together for the last 4 years....should i get a new mate for the remaining bird?

Hello, yes and no, try get a bird of around the same age as the older bird may be less playful and not want a hyper baby living with it,  be sure to keep the new bird in a seperate cage for a few weeks beside your current lovebird and let them meet outsdie of there cages before placing them together so they have a chance to get to know each other and will be less likely to fight.
