Should I take eggs away

Question
My bird has laid false eggs but she thinks they are real and always sits on it.  
Should I take them away?  Would this depress the bird or have any negative
effect?

Hello Ann and thank you for your post.
Let your bird sit on the eggs until SHE is ready to give up on them.  When she is ready to give up on the eggs, she will either start pushing them out of the way, or she will abandon them all together when she realizes that they will not hatch.
If you take the eggs away too soon, she may lay more eggs, or have some other negative affects on her.
