QuestionHow to differentiate a male and a female cockotail bird
AnswerDauphin,
That depends on the ages and mutations of the birds. Adult male normal grey and cinnamon cockatiels will molt into a bright yellow face with deep orange cheekpatches by the age of 1 1/2 years. Females will retain the juvenile plumage colors. If the cockatiels are whitefaces, the males' faces become a bright white and they don't have the orange cheekpatches. Pearl males will lose their pearling by 1 1/2 years.
Lutino and Pied cockatiels are much more difficult to sex. Often you need to look at their behavior for clues.

Dauphin,
I'm sorry, what about this answer was impolite or showed a lack of knowledge? If you want to follow up and give more specifics about your cockatiels, I'd be happy to give you a more detailed question. Also, I answered your question in a very timely manner, well within the required timeframe, so I don't know why you think it wasn't a timely answer.
