adding rehydrating supplement in the water bucket

glucod D   hello ma'am, here in india, climate touches 45degrees in summer. can i add glucon D( a rehydrating supplement for human beings) in the water bucket of the horse? may i know how much quantity can i add?

Hi Rohit,

I would suggest that you use an electrolyte designed specifically for horses to help with rehydration in your hot climate.  A horse's sweat is much more concentrated than that of people and a properly balanced electrolyte will ensure that your horse is able to properly re-establish water balance.  A supplement for people may not contain enough electrolytes for horses.
