Question
hello, what are the advantages of double lungeing a horse over basic lungeing? what does a horse learn from basic lungeing and double lungeing? i believe that horse doesnt break into canter or bolt while double lungeing a horse. am i right?

Answer
Hello Caine,

On my web site I have an article about double lungeing, but, briefly,it can help a horse become more supple, helps put his weight on his haunches, and enables the handler to give him half halts. With two lines you actually control both sides of the horse, its entire body, in a complete but non-abusive way.

I never double lunge with a bit, only a halter .It is also useful if you are presented with a horse that does want to bolt or who wants to come into your space. You can also change to long lining.
