saddle fit

My horse has some pain in his back, I think from my saddle. How can I tell if a saddle fits correctly or not? Also, any ideas how to calm a horse down at shows and to get rid of fears of clippers??

Hi Kelly!

While these may have seemed simple questions when you asked them....they are actually very hard to answer.

About saddle-fitting...I cannot do that over the Internet.  One needs to see the horse and saddle together and separate.  I suggest you ask your vet, farrier or local tack shop to recommend a professional saddle-fitter near you.

As for the other 2 questions, I would need specific information to even begin to understand what exactly is your horse's issues.

Why don't you sit down, really consider the root of all your issues with him, tell me all about him and you and then ask one clear question that you feel all would benefit from the most.
