Dot, my horses neice is having problems leaning that I need her to get her neck round. She is about 6-7, and a quarab, maybe some standardbred. Sired by the legendary Hey Hallelujah. She speeds up when I touch her sides, and I don't want to do a tack change. Help?

I need more specific information before I can suggest anything.  What is all the tack you are riding her in?  What is your current discipline and is she well trained to it?  Who broke her, how long ago and is she still in the same bit as she was for breaking?  What are your goals?  DO you longe her and how is her bit acceptance?  Please feel free to add any other pertinent information.
