Question
I ride my horses neice. Her name is Dot. She is kept next to my horse. Dot is a Quarab, and possibly some standardbred. She holds her head firm, and I need it to go down. She's about 6-7. She's even sired from the legendary Hey Hallelujah, so we're expecting a lot from her. Thanks.

Answer
Your question is not real clear, I don't know what you mean by you ride your horses neice? What kind of horse a horse is or who the sire and mare is, does not mean anything to me or the horse.  A horse is a horse.  They all want safety, to feel secure and to be treated fairly.  Horses know how to hold their head.  You will never see horses in the wild with heads down or tucked.  It is not natural and a horse cannot see well with their head tucked.  They can not focus and they spook more, since they feel insecure without being able to see well.  Your questing sounds like you are into shows, awards and winning.  None of that matters to the horse.  I understand a horse and try to help people have a better understanding and better partnership and relationship with their horse.

Since winning medals, points and ribbons has never helped a horse, I am probably not the best person to ask questions about what a horse should look like.  I am more concerned about the quality of life for the horse.

Sorry I could not help,

Rick
