Tail close up   Rick: i have read the notification.
The problem is , i bought this horse with that problem.  He has lost hair on his tail and mane. The previous owner didn't know what to do. To me it looks like a fungi problem. Here are some photos..hope you can help. Thank you.

the pictures are not too clear so can't really see much - I would try Listerine and maybe alternate Iodine for a week or so- if it is fungus it may come back since it can be transferred from horse or other rubbing post, but it you anit fungus med helps then you know it is fungus.
