Age of Horse To Begin Trail Riding

I recently purchased a Tenn Walking Horse that is 32 months of age. He is 15.1, great personality and does everything you would want him to do. When can he start going on 25 mile trail rides with a 200 lb rider?

Thanks for your question. As long as the horse is psychically fit and has been conditioned for such a long distanced ride then he would be fine at three to do so. You can start him on conditioning exercises now if you have not already done so.
