How do I get my horse to trust me?

Hi I have recently bought a horse approximately 8 weeks ago but I cant get him to trust me how do I get a bond with my horse? are there any special excresizes or games I could do with my horse?

I would read the book by Tom Dorrance, "True Unity". I would also read the book by his brother Bill Dorrance and Leslie Desmond "True Horsemanship Through Feel". They have great information and a some great things to work on with your horse.
