Charging Mare

Question
I am working with a friends 7 yo mare and I have worked with many troubled horses with control issues and bad habits but none that will charge and wheel around with both back hooves flying. The bucking I can work with but the charging is dangerous. I have tried to exersize her in the arena, no lunge line, and get her moving from the ground (she is not broke to ride) she will not respond to the whip crack or the 'scary' rope instead of running off she will charge. She has little to no flight response. Is there anyway to break this dangerous behavior?

Answer
Hi Brewster!

I cannot give training advice to non-owners of the horse in question.

I can say in the broadest of terms though...that if you feel out of your league and cannot think what to do with the horse, then you should stop before you or the horse gets hurt.
