Concealed Carry

Dear Rick,

I've been watching quite a few of your videos on youtube about horsemanship and reading your website. I noticed that on here you're also an expert on small firearms. I was just curious on your opinion about carrying a concealed weapon on the trails. Thank you.

Depends on state law, I would much rather have a gun and not need than need a gun and not have it.

Some state require it be carried in the open and not concealed. What ever you can do, I absolutely think any trail rider should be armed for many reasons. Wild dog, lion, panther, bear, crazy hiker, robber, accidentally coming across criminal activity like grow fields, stolen cars, and many other reasons.

A armed citizen is a good safe citizen, an unarmed citizen is a Victim.
