Question
so ma'am, are prominent vein horses hot blooded, do they get frightened easily, do they get tired fast. but kathiawari horses are designed for working at a maximum of 6 hours a day where as thoroughbreds can work for a maximum of 45minutes. my riding instructor told me. is he correct?

Answer
reread my previous. answer.
I just commented that hot- blooded horses, that is, Arabians, Thoroughbreds, tend to have more prominent veins.

Your Kathiawari horses look as if they may have Arabian breeding in their foundation stock...many, many breeds do. (including the Thoroughbred).

How long a horse can work depends on so many things:

1. Condition of Horse
2. Age of Horse
3. Fitness of Horse
4. Type of Work. Example, being led at a walk with beginners, could probably work longer than
if he were jumped or an intense dressage training session. Then one hour would be more correct.
5. Person working with horse. An abusive or rough rider, or off balance rider.....5 minutes would be too much!!!

I believe the 6 hour a day rule for your Kathiawari horses and 45 minutes for Thoroughbreds is too much of a generalization. Six  hours, in my opinion, is a lot
