Question
I have a 14 years old quarter horse and sometimes heb stocks up in his stall.  I cannot put wraps on him because someone else puts him in the stall. There is usually no heat and it is very slight if there is any. It doesnt seem to bother him much though. he walks normally after. I alternate between riding and lunging every day so he gets proper exercise. Should i decrease his grain? Is there any thing else i can give him? a supplement perhaps?

Answer
Cassie,
Your options basicly are ice him/ cold hose after work, allow more turnout, or somehow get someone to wrap him. Being a middle aged to older horse I really recomend keeping him in his stall as little a possible to help his joints, tendons and ligaments. I hope this helps, an please feel free to ask more questions
