i have a 3 year old colt but not very colt don't show any think to mares i served a mare with him last year but it tuck ages for him to do any think she never foald.he don't whinny or shoat or nothing just wounded if you can help thanks

Hi Colin,

You didn't mention whether or not this 3 year old has both testicles dropped yet.

It could very well be that he is still just too young mentally.  Some stallions mature later than others and it could be that he just needs more time to mature.

Also, is he kept with mares all the time?  Sometimes separating a young stallion from mares prior to the breeding season will increase their interest in them the next time they are around a mare.

I have dealt with this same problem before and it honestly just takes time to let the young stallion grow up and separating them from mares.

I know how frustrating this type of situation can be, so just hang in there.
