feeding my turttle river minnos

Hi, i now have a red eared slider turtle, i was worndering if it were possible to feed him some river minnos if i were to get some?THANKS!!!!

Yes... sorta.

Turtles, like a lot of other predatory animals, hunt food of a certain size so if the minnows are too big or too small, the turtle might not see them as food. The desired food size will change as it grows.

So, when you add the fish, just add a selection of sizes.

Also- suppliment the food with other stuff as well. Look for the water turtle care sheet and links at www.tortoise.org for more advice.
