Question
I have a small 450 gallon above the ground small pond with several small koi fish in it.

1- Will it be safe and okay to add a turtle in the pond.

2- Some say that turtles carry disease and may harm the fish. Is that true?

3- do i have to place an old tree truck in the pond for the turtle to climb in? because my pond is above the ground.

Answer
1 and 2: Turtles tend to eat or harass fish, especially 'food size' fish. The disease issue is Salmonella, which does not really affect fish.

3. You would have to put something that would allow them to climb out of the water and sun- logs, rocks, something.
