red earded slider turtles

I have two turtles in the same tank and it wasn't till today that i discovered they were male and female because i was told by the pet store they were both male. I discovered that when i noticed an egg in the water. My question to you is do they eat their own eggs? & if so do i need to start removing them(the eggs).

Hello Jasmine, you do need to remove the eggs, The water will soak them and they will die. Be careful not to turn them upside down, turning an egg after it was laid can drown the embryo inside.

You will need to incubate them to hatch and hatchlings can not live with teh parents.
