can u tell me if i turn my heat lamp and lighting off at night or leave them on for my horsfield tortoise i have just bought a pair of them thanks

Answer
They need a good night-time, but they also need temps at night to stay above about 70F. If the habitat stays warm, turn the lights off. If the nights are cool, you'll need a different kind of heater.
