Would appreciate knowing..  is it safe to gently file two of the pointed edges on her shell?  Where she is kept when she wants attention she climbs and then two of the points of her shell press badly into her back legs.  She has broken skin doing this already.  I know there are nerves in the shell and want to be sure it is safe before doing so.

I am not sure what species you are talking about, or what 'points', but it is generally not a good idea to file the shell.

If there is a problem, we want to figure out what the problem is and deal with the root causes.
