Question
Can we mix a Cherry Head & two Russians? They are all the same age and approx same size and we have a HUGE cage with the proper set ups for all - they eat and require same things.  They were all captive bred and purchased.

Answer
Whoever told you these guys eat the same thing and need the same care was HUGELY mistaken!

Cherry-heads are a color morph of Red-foot Tortoises, which are a forest species that needs warm temps and high humidity, low light, low UVB, and a diet that consists of a lot of soft, wet foods- about 40% fruits, 40% greens, 15% proteins, and the rest assorted other stuff.

Russians are a grassland species that needs drier conditions overall with humid hides, warmer temps, better light and UVB exposure, and a diet that is drier and more fiberous with almost no fruit or protein.

These two species cannot be kept together, and you can learn more about their cares at a good site like http://www.tortoisetrust.org

Good luck!
