MY TURTLES TERRAPIN &SPOT MIGHT HAVE MATED IN TANK MY FEMALE TURTLE AS BEEN SOAKING IN WATER AND DIGGING IN SOIL I THINK EARILY TODAY (WHEN I PICKED HER UP)I NOTICED SHE SHUT HER BACK HOLE (LEGS & TAIL AREA) I THINK THEY BEEN MATING BUT NOT SURE BECAUSE THE FEMALE WAS ON TOP OF THE MALE I HAVE HAD HER F ORMAYBE A MONTH AND THE MALE 3 WEEKS IS IT A POSSIBLE PREGO I NEED TO KNOW IF I SHOULD MOVE THETURTLES OUT OF TANK OR LEAVE THEM IN THE TANK AND HOW TO CARE FOR TURTLE EGGS

Hello Jim, it is impossible for two different species to mate. However female turtles will lay eggs many times a year without mating. These eggs will be infertile and will never hatch. They can be frozen and discarded after being laid. If she has mated with the male on top for sure mated with the same of her species then let me know and I will look into the egg care for you.
