Eggs and Height

Even when they are not mating, do adult female red foot tortoises still lay eggs? And roughly, how "tall" do red foot tortoises get when fully grown?

Female turtles and tortoises often lay infertile eggs as they age. it is thought to be a sign of stress, but may also be a way to get rid of hormones and other materials in the body after a while.
