hey umm well right now he is in a little plastic fake tank thing and its really sad. i have a light over him but it is just a regular light but it does produce some heat.he has a little place where he can lay out and not touch any water. tats all i have for him as a habbitat. the only thing i have been feeding him is lettuce and spinache i do know that i need to improve his diet!

Ok start with

1.  can you get a bigger tank for him?
If not, I can try to help as well

2. It is good that youre atleast giving heat now well work on outdoor. Can you sit outside with him like an hour or so on sunny days?
This will help with the shell

3.  Lets change diet.  Lettuce and spinache are both NO NOs for him.
You can either use pellets or since you buy the other, but you can switch to collard greens, mustard greens, dark leafy vegis. They will also eat live feeder fish and fish flake food.

4. you can even let his bask and graze in the yard. Then he will eat what he wants as well. Mine love hybiscus as well.
