Congratulations!  Thanks for the question.  I use "puppy pads" for a variety of reasons.  The most important for me is that they are so easy to change, keeping the glider cage cleaner.  These look like flat disposable diapers, with a blue plastic base, padding, and a clean white top sheet.  You can find them at pet stores, discount stores, or grocery stores.  There is a similar item available for humans which are normally located near women's paper products or hospital supplies.

Regular pet litter is to be avoided.  It can have toxic fumes and create a dust that is bad for a glider's sensitive lungs.
