Bearded Dragons---socializing them

Question
Dear Dave,
i hope you are having a good day and can help with my lizard question.  my friend has a male bearded dragon that he keeps in his apartment.  he has the right climate controlled cage with the heat lamp and he feeds it a good diet of worms, crickets and greens.  he wants to give his bearded dragon a friend, prefably a female bearded dragon.  i see from your profile that you don't know about their breeding, but that isn't what this question is about.  my friend wants to know how to socialize them so that they don't rip each other to pieces.  is there anything you can do like put their cages side by side or something so that they won't feel threatened by each other?  i hope you can help my friend and me out.  the pet store told us that each bearded dragon needs its own cage, but it sounds fishy to us because they make more money if each dragon needs its own crib.  have a good day,
Pete Costas

Answer
hey pete
beardies are very sociable...as long as the cage is big enough so that each can be kind of alone if they want, then there shouldnt be a problem.
Dragons are not known to be aggressive, so i cant imagine there would be a problem with housing 2 dragons (of the same size) together.
