One more question.  When it comes to the veggies, can they be canned if they have been washed good?

Canned veggies are really not that good, as the cooking and canning process destroys a lot of nutrients and includes too much salt.  Fresh is always better. His bowl should include three good greens like collards, dandelion greens, mustard and turnip greens, veggies like winter squashes, green beans and sweet potato.
