Female Iguana, Male Beardie

Question
I have had my iguana for 7 yrs.  Always thought she was a he because she never laid any eggs.  Just 3 months ago, I added a bearded dragon that I 'think' is a male.  Both lizards went off food (brumation period). The female just came home from surgery to remove egg yolks that were not forming shells.  Is this a result of her knowing that a male of another species is in the room.  They are housed in separate cages but in the same room of the house.
Thanks,

Answer
Iguanas don't brumate, but they will go off food during breeding season.  Having a male of another species usually will not make an iguana go into egging mode, I have a female ig who has been reabsorbing eggs every breeding season, and many will do that for years, just one season, for some reason, they don't reabsorb and the ig becomes egg-bound.  Believe me, I watch every year and have an x-ray and blood panel done this time of year for that very reason.
If you hold the beardie in your hand palm up, supprting his belly, tail toward you, and you lift the tail straight up, you will see above the vent either one solid bulge, or a dimple, two bulges side by side.  The one bump means a female, the dimple, or two bumps means a male.
