handling lizards

i am looking to buy a lizard but need it to be under 12 inches and like being handled and wondered if you know of any.

The Leopard gecko may well be the lizard for you, its 7/8 inches full grown with tail and can live ina small ten gallon aqurium, doesnt need uvb lighting as its nocturnal and will gladly stock its prey for you to watch(crickets of appriote size. also this lizard does fine with handling but babies tend to hiss when approch and are very fragile best get a young adult or adult if you want to handle it right away or you'll have to wait a few months before yuor able to carry yoyur gecko around safely. Also leoaprd geckos come in a wide variety of colors.
