Question
QUESTION: i got a new beardie 6 weeks ago she was'nt eating great from the start but suddenly just stopped altogether, took her to the vets who says she has a yeast infection on her tongue? what im really wanting to know is is it likely that she had this when i bought her?

ANSWER:   If you bought her from a pet store, it is possible.  Pet stores are not the cleanest places and few staff really know anything about reptiles.  Get some Nolvasan, wash her in diluted Nolvasan and and even more diluted portion to use as her mouthwash.  This may help.

Answer
I am so sorry for your loss, and yes, I would make a stink because these infections are contagious.  If they try and talk you out of it, call Better Business Bureau, the ASPCA and alert the media if you have to!
I applaud your having a necropsy done.  Any information gathered is good for beardies in general.
By this last act of love you show yourself as a truly responsible beardie owner,  one who I would definitely want as a parent to one of my babies.
