Blue Snake

I read a question about a woman finding a couple blue garter snakes dead ( just assuming they were garter snakes) I read the response about being blue because they were dead but this week we have spotted (two occasions) on the road a couple of live blue snakes that look like they are garter snakes?  We live in Wyoming by the way and are curious about this, are they a garter snake? or?  Thank you in advance for your response.

Hi Patrick, That was my response about the dead garter snakes and the pigment degradation. Is is possible that what you found were blue racers?. They are a bluish gray and native to Wyoming.
