Question
Hi Tina, I bought two yellow bellied turtles a week ago. One is slightly larger than the other. The large one is constantly snapping at the smaller one. Is this evil or playful? Also the smaller one does not seem to be really eating and I am quite worried. (Also do I leave the lamp on day and night for them?
Thanks!
Ailise

Answer
Ailise,                                                      They are probably trying to decide who is dominate. Take your little guy out and feed him in a seperate container to make sure he is getting the food he needs.Just like all of us they need a cooling off period so they should be about 80 to 85 degrees during the day and 70 at night. You can put an under the tank heater and keep it at about 75 always. Good Luck, Tina
