Question
i have a leopard frog is it possible for him to live peacefully with a tree frog???

Answer
Hi Socky, I've linked an article on the considerations behind community tanks by the respected and veteran authors Dick and Patti Bartlett. The answer to your question really depends on the size of your tank, the size and sex of your leopard frog and the species of tree frog you are considering. The key to a successful community tank is to have the inhabitants interact as little as possible. Ample space is important as is having animals that occupy opposite areas of the enclosure (water-dwelling with land-dwelling, ground-dwelling with tree-dwelling). Combining a nocturnal species with a day time species also helps. Species that are very aggressive feeders are poor choices for community tanks. If your tank is semi aquatic for your leopard then you should consider a separate water bowl for any treefrog. That will reduce their interaction and their exposure to each others feces which can be a potential source of pathogens. The treefrog would also have to be very similar in size to your leopard. Delicate species like red-eyed tree frogs would be a poor choice to place with a robust species like a leopard.
