Question
QUESTION: Hi tracie, i was wondering, do you know about how much pet store owners pay for their reptiles? This is because i wanted to sell some of my reptiles to a trusted reptile store and i wanted to make a good deal so they would buy it. Thanks

ANSWER: Hello Chris,

Oh wow, that greatly varies.  How many reptiles do you have for sale?  They usually buy a certain quantity which lowers their prices per animal.  Then, they just sell it above cost from what they bought it, I think probably double.
I think they normally sell them anywhere from $65 to $100, for bearded dragons, on average.  So you could stand to make a bit of a profit.
Do you have ball pythons, leopard geckos or other reptiles?

QUESTION: Hi tracie, i am breedeing leopard geckos. I recently bought a hova bator and i just wanted ot plan everything out first before i decide to hatch any. I will be selling my leopard geckos at 1 month at age. I am not sure what breed it will b yet cause they didn't hatch yet. Their parents are female super hypo carrot tail and male high yellow. I was thinking aobut selling 2 babies for 10-20 dollars. Do you think they wuld buy it from me? Thanks again.

Answer
Hello Chris,

Wow they are probably going to be beautiful.  I would think you could sell the babies for at least $40 if they are a higher end morph.  Do you have the genetic line?  I mean, where did they come from?  That information usually helps in decision making if they are from a good line.
