my lizzards tail

plz answer! i was trying to hold my eastern fence lizard so i could rub his head and see if he would fall asleep! but his tail fell off! now his tail is bleeding! will it grow back? T_T

 An estern fence lizard will grow back his tail with good care.  Droppind the tail is a normal defense mechanism, he was very frightened by your actions.  Do not try and hold him or pet him for a while.  Slow your movements with him. place your hand in his habitat but make no movement, allowing him to get used to it.  Have a treat in the hand, like a juicy worm, like phoenix worms, in the hand to tempt him and start the association of the hand = good things.  It will take awhile, and you must be patient.  He may decide you are ok, but remember, his species is very hard to socialize and he will always tend to want to be left alone.
