Question
My son has two leopard geckos about two years old.
One is getting very fat in the body but has a very thin tail. It also is very slow to pull shedding skin from around face. Legs seem thin as well. The two get along, eating and drinking water fed mostly mealworms and super worms, didn't eat the last batch of crickets that quickly, We have heat pad and day and night lamps, mist tank daily.
is he sick?

Answer
Hello Mary,

How do his stools look?
How large of superworms are you feeding?
What type of substrate do you use, paper towels, sand, tiles?
He sounds like he could be bloated for some reason.  Is he passing the superworms with no problem?  They shouldn't be fed too large of superworms or he may have trouble passing them.
He could possibly be impacted perhaps.  If he is not shedding very well, he is not feeling very well.
It might be a good idea to get a fecal done on him.  He could have worms or parasites, too.
