Question
Our lil guy is about 1 1/2 pressuming that the pet store guy knew wat he was talking about.
Anyway,he is getting lathargic im guessing because it is gettin cold i just want to make sure that our dads pride and joy isnt going to croak.
we have a heat rock for him, but he isnt laying on it, he is hiding out under his log just laying in the sand. We dont have crickets to feed him so we have been feeding him squash, not alot also his little food pellets on the side, fed him earlier today, came home from dinner and noticed that he didnt touch his food, very odd for him hes usually a pig when it comes to fresh fruits and veggies. we are just very worried about him. Hes also becoming a bit more cranky, we still hold him and love on him as much as u can any lizard but u can tell he doesnt appreciate it.

Please HELP US!!!
thank you
Heather and Lenny (lizard)

Answer
Get rid of that heat rock, it's dangerous!  And then relax!  An 18 month old dragon is a full adult and he's doing what comes natural.  It's called brumation and it is a semi-hibernation that all temperate climate reptiles do.  For a full description of brumation and how many of the most experienced owners deal with their sleeping babies, read the articles in this link:
