QuestionI just got a rabbit about 3 weeks ago. Everything was fine until we switched its diet. The person at the pet store said to give it pellets so we did, but then i read at several places, they should only be giving to as treats, so I started giving it fresh vegetables instead of pellets. Ever since I did that (3 days ago) My rabbit has not, well, I guess pooped. She acts normal, except for that. I couldnt find anything on the internet that suggests what to do. Please help asap.
Sincerely,
Brooke, and Bunnie
AnswerWhether you feed pellets depends on the age of the rabbit. A good basic diet can be found at http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/diet.html
If you have not seen the rabbit poop at all, that would be a bad thing, and you may want to run her by a veterinarian. Or could she be having diarrhea, which would be runny instead of round? That would also require a trip to the vet.
I'd follow the guidelines on the diet sheet, and if your rabbit should be eating pellets, return them to her diet.
