Question
I have two New Zealand Rabbits aged two years old who have been together since birth.  The pair have also mated on two occasions.  I have since had the male neutered, and the live together happily.  I have since purhase a male Lionhead rabbit he is now six months old, i haven't had him done yet.  Whenever i attempt to intuduce them each other they fight savagley.  How am I able to introduce them to each other so they will get on.  They are all familiar with eah others scents as I have placed each hutch next to each other in the hope they will get along.  Any ideas?
Thank You
Regards
Emily

Answer
hi emily -it will be  long struggle to get the new zealand rabbits to accept the lionhead.
they think he is an intruder and trying to take over there space so they will fight him .
i suggest if you have the room , make two runs next to each other put the new zealands in one and the lionhead in the other and let them run about for a few days then try and place one of the new zealands in with the lionhead but make sure you dont leave them. see if they accept each other if so then put the other rabbit in and see what happens.
