Question
My small rabbit named wiccie has been biting and having fits. when we go out we allow him to have the cage door open so he can run around but still he spills over his food in the back of his cage. He is still young old about 5 months old, is this normal or what b/c we love him to death but we are alway spending more money on his food and we fill it up half way?

Answer
Hi
Im really sorry for not repleying sooner. I have been on hoilday and forgot to let allexperts no..i hope i am still able to help.

Rabbits having fits can be caused by anything. If i was u then i would take your rabbit to the vet. He may be able to tell u what is causeing them. My rabbit has had 7 fits now. BUT i must worn u only strong rabbits can get threw them. When i took my rabbit to the vets the vet said he has never ever known a rabbit to survive through all these fits. When a rabbit has fits they usally die in an hour after the fit. So i thought i best warn you about that part. So take your rabbit to the vet. They may be able to help you alot more.
Also every night feed your rabbit pellets. You can get these from the pet shop. Just fill the bowl half way with pellets and give them every night. These can also help with the fits.

Whnever u see you rabbit splill his food over. Just take it back out and give him a little smack on the nose. Then leave the bowl in the house of something. Then 15 mintues later put the bowl back in. and if he does the same thing then do it again. With him being a young rabbit he will soon learn.

I hope i have been able to help. Let me no if u need any more help.
